5 Super Fights We All Want To See

5 bjj superfights

In Jiu-Jitsu there has been a recent trend of having super fights and sub only more and more often ! People love super fights because we get to see the best of the best go at it even when there is a weight or age separation. While we have seen many great matches between metamoris, polaris pro and ebi there are a few matches many fans are still dying to see . While most of these matches will probably never happen they are fun to play with and think about. So lets discuss what is in my opinion the top super fights we would all like to see.

Rickson Gracie VS Anyone

First and foremost, Rickson VS Anyone ! Out of all the gracies no one even comes close to the legendary status of Rickson. He is in his own division with a undefeated record and a reported 400 or so matches off camera and record. Who else can even come close to this kind of record. He is also known to be one of the greatest instructors and most knowledgeable practitioners of all time. I think it is safe to say we would all like to see Rickson in a Jiu Jitsu match !

BJ Penn VS Anyone

Next BJ Penn VS Anyone ! BJ was the first American Black Belt to win worlds and to this day is on a very very short list. While BJ hasn’t competed in Jiu Jitsu for many years I think he has the potential to do very well if he dedicated himself. This match is interesting because it fit’s the MMA fighter hype metamoris has been going for and would definitely sell tickets.

Mackenzie VS Gabi (sub only)

Third goes to one of the greatest female rivalries of all time; Mackenzie VS Gabi. Gabi has beaten Mackenzie over and over, but at the world pro Mackenzie secured a questionable win over Gabi. I think I speak for everyone when I say if Mackenzie could secure a sub on Gabi it would be one of the greatest upsets of all time!

Rhonda Rousey VS Mackenzie/Kryra

4th will be another one for the MMA hype scene. Rhonda Rousey VS Mackenzie or Kyra. Rhonda has been on a tear in the UFC and has a very impressive record in Judo . She is known for her armlock, but many doubt she could pull a win against a world Jiu Jitsu chanpion although she has said herself that she would crush many Jiu Jitsukas. I believe this match would live up to the hype and would be a classic Judo VS BJJ match.

Red Belts

Last I think everyone would love to see any two Red Belts go at it. The red belt is the ultimate goal in Jiu Jitsu and you have to be at least 50 or 60 to receive one. This match would not be as fast paced ,but rather an awe of technique.
